About Blanche Field

The Blanche Field tradition of applying old-world craftsmanship to the finest materials to create luminous, one of a kind lampshades continues today in our workshops in Boston and in our Manhattan studio. Every lampshade we create is hand-made, one at a time, to your specifications. Our designers and artisans work with customers from all over the world to bring their unique visions to life. Over the decades we have expanded our products to include:

Blanche Field can design and fabricate custom ceiling fixtures for your client’s needs. In any shape or size, we have a large number of materials from which to choose and we can laminate most fabrics. Wiring can be as simple as a single bulb or as complicated as a series of multi-socket clusters. Suspension can be by a variety of chains or metal rods finished to order. Several light diffusing options are available.

Additional services we provide in Boston and New York include rewiring and restoration of lamps, sconces and chandeliers. We can convert valuable objects into lamps without any drilling and can mount lamps on wood bases custom turned in our workrooms then finished or leafed to order.

Blanche Field is pleased to represent versatile lighting products from leading manufacturers in Europe and the United States, well-styled, beautifully executed and at all price points. We offer contemporary and period table lamps, lanterns, wall lights, flush mounts, standing lamps and chandeliers. They range from elegant to edgy, old-world to out-there, yet always in enduring good taste.
